Noosa Flavours = Fresh + Simple + Exciting
Eating out in Noosa is always a winning equation.

The diversity and quality of Noosa's cuisine scene is a prominent part of its appeal as a travel destination. While food writers are constantly praising its world-class restaurants, families on a budget will also be talking about its wide variety of cafés and food outlets offering quality meals at affordable prices.

Eating well and eating out are staples of Noosa life. As Noosa has become a serious food destination, there are now more award-winning restaurants than ever before.

Fresh is best

Top local restaurants offer a variety of cuisines, with most fresh produce sourced from the surrounding region. Having the Pacific Ocean and the beautiful Noosa River on its doorstep makes Noosa seafood some of the freshest and finest to be found in Australia. Feast on prawns, crab, freshly caught fish or oysters - and enjoy the view from the many waterfront restaurants.

A feast of the senses

From first light to late at night the tempting food aromas are carried by the cool river and ocean breezes. Start the day with breakfast on the beach at one of the cafés that dot the boardwalk. If you fancy a siesta from shopping, seek out one of the many sidewalk eateries and indulge in a freshly squeezed juice or a heart-starting coffee. Noosa's restaurants are rarely restricted by the constraints of the weather, so at every opportunity tables line the footpaths under an abundance of shady trees and greenery.

If you prefer simpler dining pleasures, enjoy fish and chips by the river, or pack a picnic of favourite treats from a local delicatessen and find a scenic spot to relax in one of Noosa's parklands.
Perhaps the most quintessential Noosa pleasure is a delicious icecream enjoyed on an evening stroll along the beachside boardwalk.

Where to begin?

Wherever you happen to be staying, you'll never be far from a great dining experience. Hastings Street offers the complete eating-out experience with coffee shops, delicatessens, cafés, bars, restaurants and ice-creameries.

While Noosaville is rapidly developing into one of Noosa's trendiest dining locations. With a mix of eateries along the Gympie Terrace esplanade and the restaurant strip of Thomas Street, this once sleepy riverside village provides a pleasant alternative to Hastings Street.

Further along the river is the bustling marina development at Noosa Harbour, which contains a selection of restaurants catering to all tastes. Sit on the deck and enjoy the vista down river all the way to Noosa Heads.

South of the national park, the seaside atmosphere of Sunshine Beach provides a breezy addition to Noosa's restaurant scene with several cafes and restaurants clustered around the Duke Street shopping centre. Take your pick from Thai, Turkish or modern Australian food.

Even the commercial centre of Noosa Junction is a dining hub, offering everything from health food shops and delicatessens to sidewalk cafés and restaurants.
