Maryborough
Maryborough City is strategically placed in the centre of the Wide Bay Burnett Region. The City is a comfortable one and a half hour drive from Noosa Heads via the Bruce Highway and is serviced daily by air and electric train.
In 1997 Maryborough celebrated 150 years since European settlement. Today, Maryborough is widely recognised for its abundance of colonial and Queenslander homes, but it is the majestic public buildings and beautiful gardens which really reflect the graceful lifestyle of a bygone era.
Maryborough's industrial base was established over one hundred years ago and although diversified today, still retains the original base industries of engineering, sugar and timber.
