Sunrise Beach is situated just south of Sunshine Beach on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. A close parallel in landscape and views to Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach is set on a pair of ridgelines that look out over the Pacific Ocean. One of few regions offering an absolute beachfront location, Sunrise Beach accommodation offers fantastic views out towards Mooloolaba and Sunshine Beach. The region is a little quieter than central Noosa, making it a popular place to stay when visiting the Sunshine Coast.
With the National Park to the west, Sunrise Beach is a leafy suburb surrounded by lush native bushland. This ambiance is carried over into the houses and accommodation, ensuring many properties have retained native bush on their land to minimise environmental impact and harmonise with the surrounding natural environment.
Renowned for its excellent surfing, Sunrise Beach becomes especially popular when sand banks form off the shores creating well-formed sets of waves that meet at the beach. However the beach is unpatrolled so it is recommended that families and recreational swimmers use alternative areas to swim safely. Nearby Castaways Beach and Sunrise Beach both provide excellent vantage points from which to view the breathtaking vistas of the golden beach, glittering ocean and pristine beach protection zones.
With a small strip of cafes and shops along the beachfront and a modest shopping area in the north-west, Sunrise Beach has all your needs covered. It’s also just a few minutes to the vibrant boutique shopping and dining precinct of Hastings Street in central Noosa.
